Formed in Blackpool, UK in 2003 the Rascuedos have come chiefly from a background of Rock and Blues. The need to improvise and play music with a difference is what brought the band together and quickly other influences began to creep into their sound including funk, cajun and jazz.

In 2003 they played at 'M' club and also in the Cafe Direct lift in the Pleasance Courtyard at Edinburgh Festival. During the lift gig they had an audience of 6 in the lift with them and every few minutes the doors would open momentarily to reveal the crowds outside in the Pleasance courtyard.

After this regular gigs in North West UK kept the band busy and they quickly established a reputation for playing dangerously improvised sets.  A mini tour of New York and Connecticut followed in 2005 where they were received with great interest. Back in England they headlined the Anderson Music Stage at Guilfest 2006.

Now with a hunger for foreign gigs the Rascs played  at the 'Party in Prague' Festival 2007. More UK festival gigs played in 2008 included Tommyfest and B Festival.

Appearance of drummer Zofia on Channel 4 'How the other half live" 15/4/10 coincided with recording of single 'Journey to the north' - release 21/6/10.
